When I take photos of my container garden, I see quilts everywhere... This would make a great thread painted quilt!
And this one too... maybe a close up of the bee. What do you think?
This might be a bit drab and boring, but I think it would be cool to try to make it. I like lots of colors in my world, but it is good to try new things! So I will add it to the list!
When I made the Blooming Beans Quilt I felt it was lacking in vibrant colors, but I still love that quilt.
The idea for it came to me in a dream. I have a container garden, so no rows of beans in my garden! You can read more about it - click on the link.
I am working on a strawberry quilt, but I will save it to complete at the next quilt retreat! It will look similar to this photo.
Then there are the Morning Glory photos that I like...
This one is my favorite Morning Glory Photo of The First Bloom!
I will try to recreate all of them into thread painted quilts! This way, my winter won't be so long... I will have all my garden colors in my home, when the snow is swirling around outside. Remember the post about: I See Quilts Everywhere. You can find your inspiration anywhere and everywhere!
When I create these quilts from my garden photos, I will take photos of each step to share with you here on my blog. You too, can bring your garden into your home when it's cold outside!
I think a plate of food would be a great idea for a thread painted quilt! I take photos of food and quilts and share recipes on my "Lunch Looks Like a Quilt to Me Blog". I would love you to join me there for more inspiration in food and quilts. I am searching for Quick and Easy Recipes to add to that blog. Would you like to be a guest blogger there with your recipe? Join in the fun and leave me a comment on that blog.
Where do you see inspiration for your quilts?
Here are some delightful "thread painted" quilts that I quilted for my customers and for myself. There are lots of colors and textures to thread paint. Some you have seen before, but I included them to have a nice colorful display and variety of quilts... Enjoy...
And last but not least, my favorite ... Molly My Garden Angel!
I love Molly's garden boots!
