Another one of the dark purple tulip.
And just a close up of the pink tulip.
This was a fun wall hanging to make and thread paint. I had fun with the green threads on the leaves and stems. I used a lighter greenish gold on the top side and edges.
I used a couple purple and pink threads on the flowers to create a cool texture in the petals of the tulips.
And a gold thread in the center of this flower.
I flipped it over, so you can see the back side.
And up close of the tulips on the back side.
You can see how I used the different threads on the petals of the flowers, leaves, and stems.
Then I added the binding.
I chose a flower embroidery pattern for the all machine stitched binding.
Added a hanging sleeve, as I stitched the binding.
I made mine longer and wider, as I like them a little bigger. I call my finished wall hanging "Triple Tulips". This is the second one I made of this pattern. I gave the first one to my Mom.
I have two more started and waiting for me to quilt - thread paint. I will have to find some Minutes for Me to do the thread painting! I cut and pressed all four of them at the same time, but I made each one a little bit different. That way, I never get bored doing the same thing over and over. Anyway, I have this thing about making every quilt unique!
I always stitch my first name and the year on my own quilts. It's my way of labeling it.
Enjoy your day!
