    That's really endearing...it's amazing how "human-like" animals can be.

    We have a Bullmastiff (100lbs) and she thinks that she is the mom to our 1 year old cat. Sometimes the cat gets in the Bullmastiff's huge pillow bed and the dog just lays beside, not wanting to disturb the cat. =P
