The guidelines for the challenge were basically: Use the letters from where you live for the colors of your quilt. Click on the link above for more details.
I live on County Rd W out in the country in Boscobel, Wisconsin.
My colors are: Whimsical Greens, Blues, and Watermelons. I used the three colors to create “Ribbons of the Sky”. This is my view at the end of the day!
My Ribbons of the Sky Quilt measures 12” by 17”.
I stitched two pieces of fabric together with a wavy seam. I thread painted to create my horizon view.
I tried to take a photo of the sky last night with my quilt hanging on the railing, but it was too dark.
This is one was a little better.I put it up on the wall in the house and...
...then I flipped it over, so you can see the back of the quilt. My husband says now it looks like it's winter!
Another fun quilt challenge completed!
Have a great day!
Marcia

ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super stunning, inspiring quilt, the stitching looks really tricky and I love the colors. I've just finished making table place mats for my daughter in law in yellow with pink flowers on them. My next project is to make quilted owl cell phone covers in orange and pink for my daughters and grand daughters. I like wearing my Tracfone SVC phone for seniors round my neck in my little owl pouch just for emergencies and I like this $15 phone because it's got big letters on the screen and keys so that I don't have to use reading glasses to make or take a call.
ReplyDeleteI want to make a laptop computer quilted pouch for my son next. I would like to put a sun design on it in turquoise and orange, and idea I got from one of us bloggers.
