It was a bonus project from the quilting retreat. What I mean by that; is that I wasn't planning to make it.
My friend, Deb showed me how to make it. She even brought along blue zippers, because she knew I would make a blue bag. Thanks Deb!
I really needed a zipper bag for my new camera that I got for my birthday back in November from my kids. This camera is smaller than my old camera, but the battery charger and cord wouldn't fit in the old bag.
It fits perfect in the new bag.
I keep my new bag next to my computer.
When I sit down at night to download photos I know right where my camera is. It actually looks nice with all the blue in my living room.
That's my favorite blue chair. It is so comfortable. My folks bought it for me over 20 years ago. They bought two blue chairs at an estate sale and paid $1.00 for each chair. I always say I am going to get them recovered, but I don't think I ever will. It's not important to me. The foot stool in front of the chair, I bought a couple years ago at a thrift store for $4.00. It needs recovering too, but I would rather quilt or make zipper bags!
It sure is fun to do bonus projects, when you are at a quilt retreat, especially when you make a useful little bag.
I thought I wrote down the information on the pattern that we used, but I can't find it. I may find it with my green blocks when I work on that this Saturday. When I do, I will share the information.
Hope you find time to do a bonus project!

ReplyDeleteGreat bag...I need to make one of those, and then start hinting for a camera! LOL
ReplyDeleteVery sweet little bag and so useful. There is nothing like a favourite chair.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Love those little zipper bags. I don't think you can ever have too many!
ReplyDeleteI never seem to get things done around here either. I'd rather quilt when I have sewing time. Zipper bags? Maybe not so much. I don't want to take the time to learn right now!
ReplyDeleteI second Tonya, but would love to MAKE some time to learn how to do this. Love the bag, love the colors!!
