Show and Tell Saturday

I am at a quilting retreat in Oelwin, Iowa --- LouAnn's Quilt Garden and Retreat

A couple of us started on Tuesday and I started on Wednesday.  We bring lots of quilting projects. We sew and sew and sew.  Some of my projects, I had all the blocks done and I just stitched them together and added borders.  Some I started here and finished them here.  I made a few more blocks for the My Favorite Block Quilt Along

Sharing my progress through today and I still have a full day to sew! Yippee! I am having so much fun with my quilting friends!

First, I made a Baby quilt top. I am going to be a Grandma!

Many of you from the facebook fabric destash group will recognize the fabrics that I bought and collected over the past few months.

I used the scrappy trip along method that Bonnie Hunter shares.

They were really run fabrics to create with.

Then I worked on the Owl block and the Heart blocks.

I made some little hearts too!

It was nice to have a big display wall.

Made the Heart Blocks on Valentine's Day night. A friend brought some strawberry wine and specialty chocolates.

What a wonderful treat for Valentine's Day!

Using the scraps, I made some tiny little Mini Quilts.

Then is was time to work on my Home Sweet Home Quilt from last year's Quilt Along.  I had only completed 6 blocks and I brought all the instructions along for the remaining blocks, but I decided to complete the quilt with the 6 blocks.

I added a patio to the block on the bottom right.

And decided to create 4 patches for the border of my quilt.

I can't wait to quilt it! Another top completed!

We did a group project too!  I asked my friends to bring 6 fabrics to create the Leafing Out Quilt that I made for Project Quilting last Challenge.  I think we have tentatively named the quilt pattern "Mixed Nuts".

I will share more about this project on Tuesday for Hodgepodge Patchwork Tuesday.

Today I am sewing bindings for the quilts we made for Rainbow Hospice.

Still have two more quilt projects to take out and complete or just get a good start on them.

Really enjoying my "Me Time" with friends and completing unfinished quilt tops.  I will share more this next week.

Enjoy your day and take time to play!
