I selected cotton candy for my inspiration. The challenge is to be inspired by Sweet Treats. Click here for the details of the challenge.
Soft blue and creams for my fabrics will be perfect.
I cut fifty 5 inch squares from both fabrics. I may not use them all.
At first my thoughts were to sew the squares together and make a puffy quilt. I decided to go in another direction, after doing a google search for more sweet treats.
Draw a line diagonally thru' all the cream squares.
Pretty sides together.
I stitched on both sides of the line and then cut on the drawn line.
Open up and press.
I started to lay them out in a chevron pattern.
I like it!
I will sew more tomorrow after work.
That's my start on the Sweet Treats Challenge!
If you like this pattern and want to make a chevron design for the challenge too, please make it. I will not think you are copying me.
Go for it!
That is what it is all about sharing and inspiring each other.
Enjoy!
Marcia
