Thanks to Barbara I got quite a bit of sewing done. This time of year is so busy for me with Christmas quilts, that I normally wouldn't sew at the end of the day, as I am too tired, but I did! I was regenerated and revitalized by sewing and creating! Thanks to Barbara!
I finished the binding on two more scrappy place mats. Now I have a table topper and three place mats.... Need more sewing Minutes for Me to sew to make a few more! I set the table and added my African Violet to create a Denim Blue Tablescape and added it to the December Tablescapes Party at The Thrifty Groove. You can create a tablescape, take photos, and add one for January. Check it out!
I decided I was going to finish a few projects and start a new one. Of course I took photos along the way and I will blog about the three scrappy table toppers next week.
All three were made from little scraps from previous quilts. I'll share more later.
I started some more little Quilted Zipper Bags.
And I completed the binding on my Triple Tulips. I posted about that wall hanging on Tuesday.
I also offered a Prize - a Quilting Giveaway (link to details) - Drawing will be at Barbara's on December 17th and I will announce it here too after the drawing. Leave a comment at Barbara's Blog after linking up your post about sewing all week. Then she will draw a winner on the 17th.

Great work! I'm so glad you joined us!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place mats! And I love your quilting, so well done! Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work and WOW you got a lot done. I'm going back now to follow your blog. It's wonderful. : )
ReplyDeleteI like that plan of sewing a little bit each day. I'm usually a 'sew it 'till it's finished' person. Problem with that is the dogs are lucky to be fed, laundry doesn't get done, writing doesn't get done, and I eat too much junk because I don't stop and fix a meal. Next year one of my goals is to finish all my UFOs. I think I will try sewing 30-60 each day on one of them. Thanks for the idea. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on doing some sewing for yourself. And the word fun shows up here and there.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful work -- and what a lovely space you have to work in! :)
ReplyDeleteDenim, I love denim. It's a bear to sew thru if your making a quilt with a lot of piecing, but man does it wear like no other. Beautiful placemants
ReplyDeleteSome pretty things there. :) I love the double and triple quilting lines.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job on the Stitching for your placemats! Truly! I am impressed how much you got done!
ReplyDeleteLove to see quilts made from scraps. They are beautiful. I hope to some day be a long arm quilter.
ReplyDeleteYou have been so busy and have so much going on..are you worn out yet? I am reading 10 blogs at a time today...then cleaning house in between. Catching up a bit at a time :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. When I grow up I want to quilt like you. Love the stitching around the binding, too.
