Hodgepodge Patchwork Tuesday - Scrappy Fabric Cards

Don't throw those fabric scraps away!
You can use them to make fabric greeting cards.
I tried all sorts of pattern arrangements from scattered to organized.
Some I just stitched the shape onto the card.

Some I stitched the fabric on and then continued stitching right onto the next piece to connect them all together.

Some I overlapped the fabric pieces and then stitched.

We also tried some simple cards with Lite Heat 'n Bond on the back of the fabric and I pressed it onto the card stock with a hot iron. No need to stitch them.

This one we used Heat'nBond and also stitched it onto the card.
Stitched the raffia bow on with a zig zag stitch.
Added our signatures to the back of the cards....Me and Mom

To recap:  just a few photos of the steps...

Just have fun!
Cut the pieces, place them one at a time on the card and stitch!
Use a small straight stitch, zig zag, or an embroidery stitch!  There's a little stretch stitch that I used on some of them.
I love the way it looks!
But I also like the plain old straight stitch.  I set it on 1.9, so it is nice and tight.

If you take some Minutes for Me to play and make some of the fabric scrap cards, please link the post up to the Minutes for Me Linky Party!

Save your fabric scraps and stitch them!
Take time to play!

What a wonderful way to use up those "scraps" that you hate to throw away. These are really neat.

Those are so neat! They look like modern art quilts instead of cards.
