First Snow, Posting Again, and a Binding to Share

This summer and fall has kept me soooo busy!  I have been quilting and gardening and enjoying time with family and friends.  I have taken so many photos of my quilting that I will have unlimited posts!  It is time to get back to posting on my blog. I created a new pattern this summer - Summer Tomatoes. I am working on two more quilt pattern ideas.

But this morning, I am enjoying a cup of coffee and our first snow in Wisconsin. We did have a few flurries on Sunday, but not like this.

Note the temperatures outside and inside!  It is cold!

I haven't dug out my boots yet!

I took the dogs out in my sandals. I walked on the path, but still got snow in between my toes!  I will get out my boots.

My plants are covered with snow and all stacked up and put away for the winter.

A little parsley still trying to grow.

I am going to stay inside and boil some eggs and quilt up a winter storm in the house!

I have so many quilts to share -- where will I start?

Today --- just the finished binding on my stitch and slice table runner.

I tried a different embroidery stitch for the binding. It is not my favorite but I like it for this quilt.

Update: The Slice and Stitch Quilt Block Tutorial is now available at Craftsy.com as a PDF Downloadable Pattern for Only $1.00.  Click Here.

Remember to take time to play, to enjoy a cup of coffee and the first snow of the year!

We've had snow on the ground before Halloween, it and more is staying, that's for sure! Yesterday, Mother Nature decided that snow alone wasn't good enough so we had rain as well!!
Let's just say I'm not setting foot outside lest I break my neck!!
Keep warm and find your boots :)

It is good to see you again! We are having a lovely day of sun (still cold) but a nasty storm will move in tomorrow and the next few days - I got my boots out the other day to be sure they were ready to go - sure we will be shoveling soon.

Well...yes we are also in Wisconsin! Looking out at the big flakes coming down...you must be north as we are just seeing it and it isn't sticking here! :)
Early this year, as last year we really had a mild winter for us!
Blessings~

Congratulations on the snow!! The temps are up and down here. Gonna be in the mid 70s by weekend. Not good for all the deer hunters.
Love the runner!!!!

I love that binding (love your plates, too!) We've had snow, but it hasn't stuck so far. I am not looking forward to it, but I brought a shovel inside just in case . . .

We had snow a couple of weeks ago, and then excellent 50-60 degree weather, although that's expected to change tomorrow. Tipping my cup o' coffee in Cheers to see you back with lots of good pictures and ideas. Congrats on your quilt pattern!

I'm so happy to see your post today! I've been concerned that something may have happened with the lack of any posts for so long. I'm very glad to see you've just been very busy.

Yes! Snow! ICK! I mean it IS November, but I am still just not ready for that yet. We were driving back from Rockford yesterday and it was switching from rain to snow and back again. Thankfully however, we had no snow that stuck anywhere down our way. It melted as soon as it hit the ground.

I really like the new stitch you used on this runner. It really adds a little more, but that must've taken alot of thread to go all the way around using that one. LOVE the runner though.

Ooh, you better dig out those boots and keep those toesies covered. You gotta stay healthy to do all the quilting you need to do..I have been waiting for you to post. I do keep track of you on Facebook and know you've been busy over there so I know you've been ok but it's nice to see a post. I really like your tablerunner. I love the way you quilted it, so cute. Stay warm and quilt on!

I am in England and I am hoping that we will not be seeing snow any time soon. I don't like winter and the cold. I am a summer girl.

I love your table runner. Such gorgeous fabric and I really like the stitch you have used on the binding.

When I lived in Rochester, NY we would have snow in October and November. Here it is very unusual, although we did have a freak October storm last year complete with 5 days of power outages.

Love your binding!
