Getting Up Close with Special Swirl Quilting on a Pin Wheel Quilt

A customer's baby quilt with special swirls in each pin wheel.  I quilted the border with wiggle lines shadowing the pin wheels.
I connected each swirl with a wiggle line.

Really a fun way to quilt a pin wheel quilt.  It makes it spin!
Enjoy your day!

Yes, the swirling in the pinwheels really adds to the movement of the quilt. Love how you did the border, too.

That's really pretty, the quilt and the quilting. I started to quilt my whirligig by echo quilting inside each shape . . . On my sewing machine. SO much turning, I wish I'd never started!!

Beautiful quilt. I love the way you have quilted it. I didn't know what to do on my last Twister, now you have inspired me to try another one.

Beautiful quilting you've done on that quilt. Do you know what fabric that was used for this quilt by chance? I recognize it but my mind is showing its age at the moment.

The quilting pattern really adds to the quilt as a whole.

I am handquilting a freestyle quilt right now. I enjoy the handwork, though someday I'd like to send one off to be machine quilted!

Lovely photos!

I can't even begin to think how long it must have taken to quilt all of that. The finished result looks fantastic!! You really have an amazing talent!! =D

I hopped over hear from Tonya's blog. There's a possibility you and I are related--I'm going to be quilting a twister quilt for our prayer quilt ministry, and I've been planning very similar twisted ribbons! "Great minds....." etc.
