A card from a friend is a bright spot in a mailbox that's usually full of bills and junk. I try to send cards periodically because I figure if I enjoy receiving them then other people do too. Your cards are gorgeous!

Card are connections to loved ones far away. There's nothing like it!

Who doesn't love getting mail that isn't a bill or advertising? I always love to send random cards to friends. It is even more fun when they send you one.

Mhairi said...

A card doesn't need to wait for the computer to turn on and load.
A card is very hard to accidentally delete.
A card shows someone took the time to sit down, write a letter, put it in an envelope, go to the post office, put a stamp and an address on the envelope and send it to me.
A card shows that my friendship is worth that time to a friend.
A card makes a pile of bills trivial.
A card says more than any email could ever hope to say.
A card brings happiness from near or far.
A card says I care about our friendship.

Oh so pretty! Cards, with written words inside are s personal and also so rare these days. It's fun to get one, but especially when it's not associated with any event, when it's sent "just because."

Your cards are marvelous - would love to win a pack of them! Cards are so personal and receiving one tells me that the sender was thinking especially of me and took the time to do all that was needed to get it in the mail and on its way to me. Hard to come by anymore in this day and age!!!

Those look wonderful. I sadly do not give or receive many cards but enjoy the ones I get. My mother in law loves to fill her cards with glitter so now when the kids get birthday or other holiday cards I like to see what falls out lol makes such a mess.

I love getting a personal note...in this day and age of computers, where communication is all in little sound bites, a beautiful note like this one would be very special!

Binks said...

I think I just more appreciate the sentiment of sending the card. But sometimes I just love how perfectly the card matches my personality, and I know the sender really cared and thought about me when choosing it.

I love getting a real old fashioned letter or card in the mail from a friend. It is always so exciting and so special & such a nice change from those plastic window envelopes. It is a fading tradition that I love to share - everyone should have those bright happy moments of "NICE MAIL" every now and then.

Margy said...

Your cards are lovely - flowers always brighten the day. A card handwritten shows love and that you take the time to care enough to send something through the post rather electronically.

Martha said...

Sometimes in this age of electronics we forget what fun it is to get a envelope in the mail with a sweet card or note from a friend. Makes my heart sing. Thanks for being so generous and have a great day.

Leo said...

Opening my postbox and seeing a surprise (that doesn't turn out to be a bill) - that's the best part in reciveing mail form friends.

Lindsay said...

I just think it is wonderful to recieve something unexpected in the mail. A nice note or a bit of encouragement in the form of something you can physically hold is so uplifting!

I love snail mail - and especially cards that refer to my or the sender's hobby. It puts a smile on my face - just like your beautiful quilt cards! Thanks so much!

I love receiving a card in the mail because normally a note from a friend is a surprise. What fun to get than instead of the normal bills and junk mail!

Oh more beautiful quilt cards! I love getting letters or cards from friends. What I like most about them is the texture - paper, card, pictures, writing, ink, etc. The internet, e-mail and such, is so fleeting.

Cards make me happy!

Real mail, except for bills and adverts, is rare so a handwritten card/letter from someone is a treasure. I really like your quilt cards. Thanks for the chance to win.

To get something that someone took the time to pull out, write in, and mail, means something. I try to send BDay cards to people. I also try to send notes to people that I think need a note. These would be great for that. Thanks for the chance.

We met another couple on a bus trip to Texas a few years ago, and Paula and I have so much in common. We send each other cards all the time. The year she was cancer free for 15 years I sent her a card everyday for 15 days, she didn't know what was going on!! Then she started writing back every couple of days....so it was good for the post office:)
Thanks for the chance to win new cards to send her!!

What a beautiful quilt! I love the idea of putting an image of a quilt on the front of a card. People really don't send cards much anymore...it is too easy to quick email. But when something personal arrives in the mailbox, it makes my whole day brighter!

Beautiful cards and a beautiful quilt under them. Great quilting as well. Love getting cards from family or friends. Seems like with email and ecards getting a hand written note is a rare thing. When I do, I know that person took the time to buy and write the card. It's like that extra step that someone takes when they care about you.

Thank you for your giveaway and a chance to win some beautiful cards. I'm already a follower.

I used to send cards to my late mom. She had Alzheimer's and had difficulty remembering anything--names, to eat or go to bathroom, how to sew, just about everything--but would go to the mailbox every day (sometimes more than once) to check the mail. That should tell you how important it was that she received cards from her children. She'e have loved your beautiful cards. Of course, I do!
