Minutes for Me - Monday Features

I am still "New" to this Linky Party stuff, but I am learning.  I thought it was a good idea to extend the Linky Party for 11 days thru' the Thanksgiving Weekend and thru' the next week.  I noticed that some bloggers just hosted each week and some cancelled it for Thanksgiving weekend.  Thanks to all who shared their links on this extended party!

Three Featured Blogs today!

This week the post with the most views was Tonya at  Hillbilly Handiworks.  Tonya shared about her Mabry Mill paper pieced quilt and how the May for Me Celebration started... well almost didn't start... you have to hop over and read what happened. 

Tonya writes from her heart and shares some really cool quilts and quilted projects.

D at The Shady Porch linked up and shared her recipe for Homemade Butterfinger Candy. Looks very yummy! She also hosts a Linky Party on Tuesdays called Rock 'N Share. Hop over and check out her blog, recipe, and party.

Also, New to my linky party is Linda at Casa Boose in Stitches.  Linda linked up at post about her paper piecing journey constructing her Mabry Mills wall hanging .  Linda and Tonya worked on the wall hanging thru' their blogs - sharing each step along the way thru' the completed wall hanging. Yesterday's post tells about the retreat I attended this past weekend. I really enjoyed the company of old friends and made some new friends too.  

I took some "Minutes for Me" time to start my First Bloom Wall hanging.  I'll share more about the process as my "Minutes for Me" Post for the Party. I plan to start a little of the thread painting tomorrow and take some photos to share for the party.

Minutes for Me - Monday Features!

I was so pleased with the wonderful shares that you linked up for the "Minutes for Me" Linky Party.

It is so important to at least take a few minutes each day to enjoy a few moments.  Remember the old saying: "stop and smell the roses".  Our lives get too busy and we forget to do that.  So when you have a moment of something special, share it with us.  Take a photo or just write a post about it.  By doing that you will take note of the wonderful moments that seem so far and few between.  You will find out you have a lot more than you think.  It is kind of like counting your blessings.


My Favorite Saying

It doesn't matter where you go in life...what you do...or...how much you have...it's who you have beside you that matters. 

For me, it is my husband and everyone in my family.
