Lots of Bubble Quilting on a Baby Quilt!

This is a quick and easy to make baby quilt.

It measures  45" X 55"

My friend, Amy designed the "Quick Baby Quilt".  I made it so I could help her write it up for Craftsy.com

I enjoyed making it. It was fun and easy.

I loved quilting it too!

I quilted Double/Triple Bubble Quilting in the main part of the quilt with a row of double bubble in the narrow border and three rows of a whimsical double loopy chains in the outside border.

I selected Hobbs 80/20 Batting as that seems to be the most durable for extra washing for baby quilts.

I embroidery machine stitched the binding.

I will be making this Quick Baby Quilt again! I am glad Amy asked me the make it!  I love it!

I will be sending this one off to my niece as she will be having a baby in April.

I would be happy to make this again for a special order.  I will be adding it to my list of choices for baby quilts for special orders.  I think the next one I make, I will use a rainbow of colors for the center squares.

I will post again, when Amy publishes her pattern on Craftsy.com.

Enjoy your day!

Getting Up Close with My Quilting - Special Area Quilting

My customers bring me the COOLEST QUILTS!

Special Area Quilting:
Single Bubbles as the background/filler quilting.
Two Color Loopy Bubbles in a chain for the colorful border.
Wiggle/Wavy Lines with a Swirl on the top for the tulips.  I changed the thread colors for each tulip color.
And Paisley Swirly Quilting on the outside border.

A couple photos of the backside of the quilt.

I love the backside too!

Rolled it up before I mailed it.

Looks so cool rolled up too!

My customer used Jelly Roll Strips to create this quilt.  It is from the book Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott.

I love this quilt!
I picked out fabrics with my Mom to make one for our donation quilt for next year.

The book shows a photo of a lite blue print background. We purchased Kona Solids to go with the blue print. See the small quilt on the left page.

Enjoy!

Getting Up Close to my Quilting - BIG Bubble Quilting

It is not just over all Bubble Quilting.  See how I quilted smaller bubbles in the small strip of squares.

Flipping the back over, so you can see the back of it.

The bubbles really soften the sharp lines of the squares.  It really gives it a fun and whimsical feel!

My customer requested washable wool batting.  It has a little bit of loft and gives it a little fluff!

Enjoy your day!
