I am sharing 2 May for Me Prizes for this Giveaway!

Prize #1 is a Quilt Pattern and Kit (Summer Tomatoes) and is open the United States only, because of the shipping.

Prize #2 is a PDF Quilt Pattern (Summer Tomatoes) and is open to everyone!

Enter to win my Summer Tomatoes Quilt Pattern ($9.00 Paper Pattern)
and 3 Fat Quarters ($9.00)
and Backing Fabric 37" X 37" (10.00)
and Binding Fabric  4" X 108" ($3.00)
and Batting 28" X 28" 80/20 Hobbs ($4.00)
It's value is $35.00
Plus I will pay the shipping $6.10!
Total Value if you win $41.10!!!

I made my sample quilt in 2012 and I love it! It measures 21" x 21" and is perfect for the center of my dining room table.

I didn't have any tomatoes for the photo, but I had lots of sweet peppers!

This is a fast and easy way to combine three colors to create a quick and easy quilt. It looks different every time you make it!
Table topper measures 21″ X 21″, but you can multiply it to create larger quilts.
My colorful tomatoes from my container garden inspired this quilt in 2012.

I use mine a lot and I wash it alot. That makes it all scrunchie!

Currently, I am hosting a May for Me Celebration and have a Giveaway of my PDF Patterns every week -- that is open to everyone!

The Summer Tomatoes Quilt Pattern is available in paper form on my website for $9.00 plus shipping at www.craftysewing.com and is Only $5.00 as a PDF on Craftsy.com in my Craftsy Store.

Focus Through the Prism is the Project Quilting Theme for the Next Seven Months

Check out the details over at Persimon Dreams for the all the Project Quilting Challenge Information for the Quilting Challenges.

For the next seven challenges, we are to use one color from the Cherrywood Hand Dyed Fabric Bundle. It is a ROYGBIV selection of fabrics.  It was a hard decision. See Saturday's post for photos of my selections of fabrics.

I selected green! It is my least favorite color, but I really liked the green print fabric.

I also selected some brighter greens (but I didn't use them) and a print with some blue in it.

I started cutting...

I made 3 UNEVEN Monkey Wrench Quilt Block and added some skinny strips in between - like a Tic Tac Toe grid.  I got the idea from laying the pieces out and it was ready to sew together and I thought it looked cool with the space in between. I cut a strip and I loved it!

Took photos of the steps.

First, I made the 9 sections for an uneven Monkey Wrench Quilt Block and then I cut a 1 inch strip.

I added it to all the intersecting parts. See the photos.

One 2 sides of the corner blocks.

Stitch the center row together first.

Then the top and bottom rows.

I named the quilt block  "Tic Tac Toe Monkey Wrench"!

I love it!

Next I made the quilt top --- 20" X 20" I actually cut it 20 1/2" by 20 1/2" as it will shrink up with the quilting.

Not going to share how I made the quilt top as I sewed it "Improv". I added a piece here and a piece there and trimmed and added another piece.

Now, I need to select which direction is the top and the bottom BEFORE I quilt it.  I always stitch in my name and the year in all my quilts. I need to decide where the bottom right hand corner is.

Please help me decide -- leave a comment  A, B, C, or D?
A

B

C

D
I am leaning towards C or D. I think A and B look too heavy on top!  Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Just a note about "COMMENTS" --- I can not reply to some of you as you are a NO - Reply Commenter -- Please check your settings as I want to reply.  Thanks!

May for Me Giveaway -- Click HERE There is one every week! Even if you have won a prize, you can enter each week!

Minutes for Me, May for Me, and a Giveaway!

UPDATE: The Giveaway Ended at Midnight on the 29th and the 3 winners were contacted by Email. Check out the new Giveaways starting on May 1st!

I started the May for Me Celebration as a way to make it OK to take time for yourself!

Yes --- It's Minutes for Me and Minutes for You!

This year for the May for Me Celebration, I plan to spend lots of minutes sewing, quilting, crafting, and spending time with family and friends --- Minutes for Me!

I started in January by taking time for me with some friends once a month at a local coffee shop --- Timerlane Coffee Shop in Boscobel, Wisconsin.  We enjoy time together learning a new craft, we have lunch and chat.

One week, we learned how to hand sew Hexies from a circle.

One month, we made greeting cards that look like a quilt.

And this month -- this Friday April 17th we are going to learn how to hand sew this cute little pouch bag.

If you live in Southwestern Wisconsin and you would like to join us at the Timberlane Coffee Shop in Boscobel, Wisconsin? Please send me an email and let me know you will be there.  Friday, April 17th from 10am to 2pm.  Each person buys their own lunch. You can bring one item for show and tell. And then we share a craft.  It is very informal. We chat, we laugh, and we enjoy time together. Come and join in on the fun!

Again this year, I will host Giveaways every week of my PDF Quilt Patterns! You can check all of them out at my Craftsy Store. I have a couple FREE PDF Patterns in my Craftsy Store. Check it out at:
