Getting Up Close to My Quilting - Meandering with a Twist

Another beautiful customer's quilt!  I love 30's reproduction fabrics and I love pinwheel quilts.

All information about my quilting and my customer's quilt is at the end of this post.... Enjoy the photos!

This is a customer's quilt.  It was made from fat quarters to get a large variety of the 30's reproduction prints. She used one fat quarter for each pinwheel and used the rest of it for the border strips. My customer said she will be using the rest of the scraps to make a scrappy binding.

She did not use a pattern to make her Pinwheel Quilt. With her help, I figured out some of the measurements and how she made it.  The pinwheel blocks measure 11 1/2" including the skinny white border (1 1/2") around the pinwheels. She used scraps for the colorful lattice strips.  They are in various sizes from 3 3/4" to 4 1/2" and all are 4 1/2" wide.  The quilt is 4 quilt blocks across by 5 quilt blocks down. It has a 3 1/2" border. It measures 65" X 80".

Quilting:
Meandering with a Twist - Medium size. The Twist is the occasional little pinwheels.

Thread Color:
Chambray Blue

Batting:
Hobbs 80/20 Cream Cotton/Poly Batting

Size:
65" X 80"

Other information:

Enjoy!
